| Amazing how a few words can make your world feel complete. So easy. And it's done.
Cliche? Of course. Part of the beauty. In any other context, you would complain for a good 7 minutes about how sappy it is, and how you'd rather vomit than hear some love-smitten boy say it to some too-pretty-to-live girl. But here, now, in this moment: it's right.
It's a movie, it's a song, it's a sonnet; in a word, it's fiction. It must be. Good lord, this is every John Mayer song you've ever heard. Come on, wake up. It's only going to last the 3 and a half minute length of the song. But it doesn't. It lasts beyond the 3 and a half minutes. Beyond an hour. A day. A week. What now? Suddenly, we're in uncharted waters. What now?
Mmmmmmm. Live it. Ready? It's going to feel incredible for a while. Of course, there will be hurt. But for this one, it will be worth it. Few and far between are those that you will make this sacrifice for. But it's right in front of your face that this is one that is incredibly worth it.
Sing your songs, cry your tears, watch each other sleep. This is gonna be good. Live it.

| Yes, Lindsay and I drove down to San Marcos this weekend and found our apartment. Listen to this: 4 bedroom, 4 bath, (but we probably won't have a 4th roomate) $489 a month, (all bills paid) it's furnished, and it's a completely brand new complex, so we'll be the very first people to live there. It's close enough to campus so that we can still walk to class, and it's close enough to The Square so that we (mostly Lindsay cause she'll be 21) can walk home from the bars. Yeah, it rules, I know.
So the trip was good. We found our apartment and got to hang out with my Austin kids. Yum.
| Things that I love:
Nelson cooking amazing dinners, Lindsay writing me magical notes, watching football (don't call it soccer), playing quarters, good drunk sleeps, getting accepted to colleges.
Things that I hate:
Fucking bollocks (Lindsay, you know what I'm talking about), not being in London right now, not being at the World Cup right now, feeling sorry for myself, working at 5:45 am.
| What a great weekend.
We threw Anastasia a surprise birthday party, which the tornado kinda fucked up. That's right, there was a tornado on Friday. Right when the party was supposed to be. So that was a little bit gay, but I think it still went over well for the most part.
Saturday afternoon I went to Totty's wedding with Wes, Zane, Kent, and Lindsay Allen. It was so gorgeous and so much fun. And yes, there was an open bar, and yes, we got so drunk. We're talking all of us dancing to "Shout" in true Wedding Crashers form, complete with me trying to dance with a drink in my hand and spilling it everywhere.
Good shit, eh? | | |
| Ok, actually this whole thing won't be me complaining. I'll make it short and sweet.
Complaints: Two tests today. (I stayed up all night studying.) Work at 5:45 AM. After taking my tests, I still couldn't go to bed. I had to walk all over campus running errands. And to top it all off (boys close your eyes) I started my period today.
On to the good stuff. This weekend Lindsay, Wes and I went down to San Marcos to stay with Cody and go tubing. Oh, and also GET WASTED. On Saturday I think I was drunk for a consecutive 11 hours. At least.
So this weekend was top o' the line. Today, not quite so line-topping. But I made it, and I'm slowly coming back to life.
Leave 'em. | | |
